The culmination of Tura New Music’s 2017 Echo Tour across the Kimberley, Kimberley Echoes at the Perth Concert Hall brings together Indigenous musical icons Mark Atkins, Stephen Pigram and Bart Willoughby with some of Australia’s finest instrumentalists as the Narli Ensemble, Erkki Veltheim (violin), Stephen Magnusson (guitar), Tristen Parr (cello) and Tos Mahoney (flute).
Joining them in this finale concert will be some of special guest artists from across the Kimberley that collaborated with the Echo Tour, Gabriel Nodea (Warmun), Naomi Pigram (Broome), John Bennett (Bidyadanga) and Paul Boon (Broome).
Weaving stories from across the Kimberley, and featuring landscapes of Australia’s rugged North-West, this concert features a new and unique program premiering songs developed ‘on-the-road.’
